Who are FIIs and DIIs?

FII (Foreign Institutional Investors): Entities like hedge funds, foreign pension funds, and investment banks that invest capital from outside the country. They often trade based on global macro conditions and risk appetite.

DII (Domestic Institutional Investors): Large local entities like mutual funds, insurance companies, and banks. They are often "steadier" hands, providing essential liquidity when FIIs pull capital out.

Interpreting the Data

Strategic Tip

Institutional data is a powerful confirmation tool. When your technical setup (e.g., a breakout) aligns with net institutional *buying*, the probability of a successful trade increases exponentially. When they conflict, the trade is significantly higher risk.
